My name is Dan Hitching and I'm a Whangārei based artist who loves to explore and photograph the coastal environment that surrounds me.
In my images I primarily use long exposure camera techniques combined with open space, natural forms and patterns and dramatic weather to create ethereal minimal images.
By carefully balancing colours and contrast my editing approach is dedicated to achieving a final image that is as much about emotional connection as location.
